Odessa police reported that a 47-year-old woman was injured while diving in a dumpster and was eventually dumped into a garbage truck. Police said she began searching a dumpster in the 500 block of West 42nd Street around 6 a.m. About 25 minutes later, she told police a garbage truck came and picked up the bins, and she ended up in the back of the garbage truck for two hours. She ended up suffering some head and lower back injuries. It is unclear if she was found when the truck went to empty the trash at the landfill and employees spotted a body. It is amazing she is alive as trash trucks have a high packing psi of 2000. Odesssa Police Department would like to remind Odessa citizens that city ordinances make do not allow dumpster diving.
